The Emmi-Pet Ultra Sonic Toothbrush

When food particles and bacteria accumulate on your dog’s tooth, and

gum line plaque is formed, when combined with saliva and minerals, it will eventually transform into hardened plaque called 'tartar'.   Tartar leads to gum irritation, which can progress to an inflammatory condition called Gingivitis, and eventually to Periodontal Disease.

It's estimated that by age 2, 80% of dogs begin to show signs of oral disease. If left untreated, your pet may need lengthy and costly veterinary treatments (possibly under anaesthetic) to help put their oral health back on track.

Left untreated, poor tooth and gum health can lead to a whole host of issues affecting your dog's internal health, including but not limited to tooth loss, necrosis of the jaw, liver disease and heart failure.

As you can see, looking after your dog's teeth is an integral part of responsible pet ownership and can significantly reduce the risks associated with poor oral care.

If your dog needs oral care, or you want to get ahead of the oral care game, contact us to discuss how Emmi-Pet can help.

  • How does Emmi-Pet work?

The Emmi-Pet UltraSonic Toothbrush is a silent, stress- and vibration-free system that helps maintain good oral health in young dogs and counteract the effects of oral disease seen in the vast majority of dogs over the age of two.

The Emmi-Pet UltraSonic Toothbrush and specialist toothpaste work together to deliver 96 million ultrasonic oscillations per minute, treating a radius of 12mm around the brush head with tiny microbubbles. These microbubbles help destroy bacteria, tartar, and plaque in your dog's mouth.  All this without the need for active 'brushing' or a costly anasthetic.

Regular use of the Emmi-Pet toothbrushing system will help maintain your dog's oral health alongside regular vet visits.

    • A demonstration of the Emmi-Pet.
    • An explanation of issues found
    • A record of assessment
    • A discussion of the work required

    Initial Cleaning Appointments

During your dog's consultation, we will discuss the likely number of treatments needed to restore your dog's oral health. This is normally between  8 and 10 visits, although some dogs may require more.

Your dog's cleaning treatments will last approximately 40 minutes. This allows time for your dog to relax into the treatment and gives plenty of time to give your dog's teeth a good blitz.

For hygiene reasons, your dog will also be issued with their own toothbrush head, which lasts up to 25 treatments (this may be reduced if your dog damages the head).  Toothbrush heads are currently priced at £10.00 per head.

    Maintenance visits

After a successful series of cleaning appointments, we will discuss the benefits and cost options available to you to maintain your dog's oral health.

All customers will be offered pay-per-visit and prepaid treatment prices.
